PackEx is particularly sustainable by avoiding overproduction.
Yes, PackEx folding boxes are recyclable! With regard to recycling, a distinction is first made between three different grades:
(Grade 1 - difficult to recycle; Grade 3 - the “easiest”)
- Quality class 1: This includes all materials with a higher degree of refinement. These include hot foil lamination, UV inks and UV varnishes.
- Quality class 2: This includes classically printed substrates with offset inks and dispersion varnish.
- Quality class 3: This class refers to white virgin fiber materials with little or no printing.
PackEx is assigned to quality class 1 due to the inks used in printing.
PackEx's approach to improving sustainability is not recycling in the figurative sense, but avoiding overproduction. At PackEx, we are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and make a significant contribution to the sustainability of your company by reducing waste, conserving resources and reducing emissions. Our concept is based on two key pillars: needs-based procurement through small batches and resource-saving production.
On the one hand, this means for you and your company: You order the exact quantity of packaging you need, thus ensuring that there are no excess quantities that need to be disposed of. On the other hand, we produce folding cartons in a resource-saving manner by processing customer orders in a combined manner and using state-of-the-art production technologies.
Example:
In the classic process, an order for 500 folding boxes requires 50 good sheets with 10 panels per sheet. To set up the printing machine, the die-cutting machine and the gluing machine, a further 400 cardboard sheets must be calculated. At PackEx, we calculate with an allowance of 40 sheets. This ensures sustainability by avoiding overproduction and not using recycled material.
